The totals in the above table should agree with the figures
on the Racing-Index
site, although there is often a small
difference in the profit figure due to different
rounding methods.
Unfortunately, a number of top selections end up as non-runners and
although
the Racing-Index site caters for re-submission of selections, it is
very easy to
miss a non-runner declaration, especially if it happens close
to the off.
In addition, circumstances sometimes prevent us from submitting
top selections
for proofing (this happened 15 times in 2006).
To adjust for selections not included in the Racing-Index figures we keep
separate files containing the missing data. The information in these files is
combined with the data in the above table to produce the table below, which
should cover every race run under rules in both the UK and Ireland during
calendar 2006 :
